Eddie Huang’s Fresh Off the Boat series is back with the new name of Huang’s World. As a child and having family within the food and service industry and being hooked on The Food Network, I remember wanting to be a chef creating fusion foods with flavours from around the world. Unfortunately, I never dedicated my time to learning how to cook properly and am now known as a joke in the kitchen among friends and family. My interest in food and culture has drawn me to different VICE series including Keep it Canada with Matty Matheson and Fuck, That’s Delicious with Action Bronson. Eddie’s show specifically explores different cultures and relationships through food. He comes from a Taiwanese family who chased the American Dream and later became a lawyer, later following passion to lead him to opening New York restaurant Baohaus, writing his own book and now having his own show with VICE. In my opinion, I am looking forward to a new season of his antics and urban behaviour, check out the video above to get a taste of what it’s all about.
