Recently I headed out West for a week to get a taste of Vancouver with its abundance of shopping, food and attractions. North Van is well known for its scenery, natural beauty and tourist locations, so I always try to spend some time up there. My initial plan was to head to Capilano Suspension Bridge to test my fear of heights at one of Vancouver’s most popular spots but after hanging out with some local friends of ours, we were recommended the Lynn Canyon Park (shoutout to Brett and Carmen). We caught the sea bus near Waterfront and a bus or two later, we found ourselves at the park. There are a couple of reasons why I liked it so much. It had a great set of trails with different depths, a suspension bridge, wooden bridges, waterfalls and most importantly was not busy at all. We spent over an hour trekking the paths and getting poured on by the classic Vancouver weather that we always hear about, Mother Nature wanted to give my 13oz jeans a quick soak.

If you can make it out to the city, I would definitely recommend checking Lynn Canyon Park out.
